Dialcraft respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your information.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

When using Dialcraft, you may provide:

  • Email address and password (if creating an account)
  • Coffee beans you add
  • Espresso shot logs
  • Recipes and notes
  • Equipment information

This information is used only to provide app functionality.

Automatically Collected Information

We may collect limited technical information such as:

  • Device type
  • App version
  • Crash diagnostics

This information helps improve app performance.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Operate the Dialcraft app
  • Store and sync your brewing data
  • Provide account and authentication features
  • Improve the product

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. Dialcraft does not include third-party advertising or tracking.

3. Data Storage

Dialcraft uses a local-first architecture. Your brewing data (shots, beans, recipes, equipment) is stored on your device by default.

If you create an account, your data may also be synced to the cloud using Supabase, a third-party service we use for authentication and data storage. Supabase processes data on our behalf and is subject to its own privacy practices.

We do not share your data with any other third-party services.

4. Public Content

If you choose to mark recipes as public, those recipes may be visible to other Dialcraft users. You control whether your recipes are public or private. Private content remains accessible only to you.

5. Bluetooth Data

When you connect a Bluetooth scale, the app receives real-time weight data directly from the scale. This data is used only to populate shot logging fields and is not transmitted to any external service.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect user data, including the use of secure authentication and encrypted connections. However, no system can guarantee complete security.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account, we will delete your associated data from our servers within a reasonable timeframe. Local data stored on your device is not affected by account deletion and can be removed by uninstalling the app.

8. Your Rights

You may:

  • Update your account information
  • Delete your account and associated data directly from within the app
  • Contact us to request data removal

9. Children’s Privacy

Dialcraft is not directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted within the app or on our website. Your continued use of Dialcraft after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
