Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Dialcraft.
Is Dialcraft free?
Yes! Dialcraft is free to download and use. We may introduce optional premium features in the future, but the core shot logging and recipe features will always be free.
Does Dialcraft work offline?
Absolutely. Dialcraft is offline-first — all your data is stored locally on your device. You can log shots, manage beans, and save recipes without any internet connection. When you do go online, your data syncs automatically.
Which Bluetooth scales are supported?
Dialcraft currently supports Acaia scales (Lunar, Pearl, Pyxis) and Bookoo scales (Themis Mini). We plan to add support for more scales over time.
Is my data private?
Your data lives on your device first. If you create an account, your data syncs to our secure servers so you can access it across devices. We never sell your data or share it with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Can I share recipes with others?
Yes! You can mark any recipe as "public" to share it with the Dialcraft community. Other users can search for recipes by grinder, machine, or beans.
What platforms is Dialcraft available on?
Dialcraft is available on iOS and Android. Both versions have the same features and sync seamlessly if you create an account.
How do dial-in suggestions work?
When you log a shot, Dialcraft analyzes your brew parameters (dose, yield, time, grind) and taste notes. Based on common espresso extraction principles, it suggests specific adjustments — like grinding finer for a fast, sour shot.
I found a bug or have a feature request. Where do I report it?
We'd love to hear from you! Email us at support@dialcraft.app with any bugs, feedback, or feature ideas.
